Proxy Access (sometimes called Guest Access) allows students to grant view-only access to common student records.
Proxy Access also allows students to grant themselves access to information about their student record over the phone.
Students' proxies may be anyone who the student wishes to grant access: parents, guardians, spouses, partners, etc.
For Yourself: Click ‘add new’. Enter your name, catamount email, select ‘other’ for relationship, enter the passphrase you wish to use. Select ‘all’ authorizations. Then press submit.
You can make changes to any proxy's access by returning to the Proxy Access page in [adjust how to get to Proxy Management: myLander and clicking on Proxy Management]. Click on the proxy's name to make any adjustments.
Current Lander students are able to grant proxy access through their [myLander accounts].
Using Proxy Access, students can grant view-only access to the following:
If you change email addresses or forget your password, contact your student. Only the student can reset passwords or change the email address associated with your access. When your student resets your password or your email address, you will receive a new temporary single-use password and link similar to when you claimed your initial access.
If the information is included in the list above of records that are eligible for allowed access, you may contact your student and ask for authorizations to be updated. Some information (tests, homework, quizzes, assignments, HIPAA protected information, etc.) is not available through Proxy Access.
No, guests with proxy access are not able to make any changes to student schedules.
Yes. View-only access is limited by vendor functionality, the access your student grants you, and university policy. Emails, texts, tests, homework, quizzes, and HIPPA protected records are examples of records you are not allowed to see.
