Lander Art is a thought-provoking environment where students gain an understanding of the importance and function of art.  The focus is on innovation and challenge, developing the creative problem solving and critical thinking skills both students and professionals need in today’s rapidly-changing world.

Lander Art prepares students for rewarding careers in art or design, or the skills to pursue a post-graduate degrees.  With versatile degree programs that feature a wide-variety of media and disciplines, Lander Art provides the scope and grounding that allows students to choose a creative/academic direction that meets their individual needs. 

Lander Art offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (BFA) with a concentration in either a 2D or 3D studio track.  The BFA is the standard professional art degree and gives students the opportunity to take the maximum number of studio classes.  Students concentrate in a direction which fosters professional proficiency in a wide variety of studio art techniques and materials. 

For a more flexible course of study, Lander Art offers a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, which provides a liberal arts program for students seeking an emphasis in art business, graphic design, art education, or art general studio.

Lander University is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
