With federal funding provided by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, Lander University distributed more than $1.7 million in emergency financial aid grants to students for help with expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"Like many around the country, Lander University's students and their families have faced unexpected financial challenges due to COVID-19 and the necessary changes made to prevent its spread. The CARES Act funding will provide Lander students with additional support during this unprecedented global health crisis," said Dr. Stacie Bowie, Vice President for Finance and Administration. "Lander has received its portion of the CARES Act stimulus package, and we will begin distributing the funding to eligible students immediately. We are committed to ensuring our students have access to every available resource to remain healthy and on-track with their academic goals."
