Lander University business student receives R. Thornwell Dunlap Jr. scholarship

Four Lander University business students have been selected to receive the R. Thornwell Dunlap Jr. Scholarship, established in 1997 in honor of Dunlap, president of The Lander Foundation from 1993 – 1996. Awarded to Greenwood County residents majoring in business administration, the scholarship provides assistance to students who meet criteria in areas including character, academic record and recommendation by a high school or college teacher. Pictured, from left, are: Lander associate professor of finance Uma Sridharan; scholarship recipient Billy R. Morgan of Greenwood, a business administration major with management/marketing emphasis; scholarship recipient Matthew W. Hix of Greenwood, a business administration major with economics/finance emphasis; and Lander professor of marketing Juan Santandreu. Also receiving the scholarship are Christopher M. Price of Greenwood, a business administration major with health care management emphasis, and Benjamin F. Edds of Greenwood, a business administration major with management/marketing emphasis.
