A group of Lander University students were recently awarded the Jean T. McFerrin Scholarship.
The scholarship was established in 1988 by Jean and Cecil McFerrin of Aiken in honor of Jean, a
1948 Lander graduate who has maintained close ties with her alma mater and has held numerous
positions with the Alumni Association, The Lander Foundation and the Board of Trustees. The
scholarships are awarded annually to students majoring in business; selection is based on academic
merit and leadership potential.
