Hunter Ellis

About Me

I am from the low country in Summerville South Carolina. After spending my childhood growing up on the coast, I decided I wanted to see what the upstate of South Carolina had to offer. I started my college career at Spartanburg Methodist College, then after a year, I decided to transfer to a larger institution. That is when I discovered Lander University, the town of Greenwood, and it was love at first sight. I graduated from Lander in December 2017, with a Bachelor’s of Science focus in History.

During my time as a student at Lander, I was a Presidential Ambassador from 2015-2017, President and founding father of the Lander University Ducks Unlimited Chapter, and an officer on the Lander Bass Fishing team. My senior year, I was awarded the honor of being inducted into the Lander Hall of Leaders, as well as being named Transfer Student of the Year. My time at Lander is what shaped me into the person I am today. My goal is to show prospective students all Lander has to offer and hopefully see them in Bearcat country!
