Our programs are uniquely designed to prepare you for your desired profession, whether it is providing health care to athletes and those involved in physical activity, helping adults discover the health benefits of active lifestyles or teaching physical education in elementary and secondary schools.
Housed in the John Drummond Complex, which features the Finis Horne Arena and Joe V. Chandler Center, the department boasts numerous, well-equipped facilities for your use: an elaborate exercise physiology laboratory; an athletic training and teaching/pedagogy laboratory; a state-of-the-art fitness center; an elevated walk/jog track; a dance/aerobic studio; racquetball courts; an auxiliary gym with three basketball courts; an athletic training room; a 2,500-seat basketball arena; and classrooms and faculty offices.
You'll train under a faculty of experts who are committed to providing quality undergraduate experiences that enhance your development as a student and prepare you for success in the professions of exercise science and physical education.
