Assistant Professor of Management

The Position:  The School of Management is searching for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Management to start in August 2016.  Position is contingent on funding.

Minimum Qualifications:  The minimum education requirement for appointment to this position is a doctorate in Management or a related field such as Management Information Systems or Business Administration.  Candidates nearing completion of the doctorate will be considered; however, the doctorate must be completed by August 15, 2016.  If a suitable candidate cannot be identified, a candidate with a master’s degree may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:  Preference will be given for a doctorate from an AACSB International-accredited program.  Evidence of superior teaching is highly desirable.  Industry experience is highly valued.

Responsibilities:  This tenure-track position carries responsibilities in the areas of teaching, scholarship and service.  Faculty members typically teach four sections per semester, advise students, serve on university and school committees and engage in professional development activities.  Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the school.

Salary:  Salary commensurate with education and experience.

The School:  The School of Management offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with four emphasis areas:  Accounting, Financial Services, Health Care Management and Management/Marketing.  The primary focus of Lander University is teaching and the School of Management emphasizes a student-centered learning environment.  The School of Management is accredited by AACSB International.
