Fee Descriptions

  • Student Activities Fee: Supports non-academic student body-sponsored events held on campus and student activities such as the Student Government Association and other clubs and organizations.
  • Safety and Security Fee: Supports, in part, the Lander University Police Department and other campus safety initiatives such as updating and purchasing security cameras, body cameras and other safety and police equipment.
  • Educational and Technology Fee: Supports, in part, services and equipment for information technology equipment to support educational and student activities.
  • Athletics Fee: Supports, in part, intercollegiate athletics, maintenance and operation of the university’s athletic facilities while providing free student admission to all athletic events and venues throughout the year.
  • Health and Counseling Fee: Supports, in part, current and expanded medical services for students by increasing student health counselors and other medical personnel.
  • Transportation Fee: Supports the cost of operating university shuttles for students throughout campus and to expand service to include the Greenwood community and other locations.
  • Employment Fee: Supports the cost of establishing an Employment Center that will oversee and expand opportunities for student internships and future employment upon graduation.
  • Library Fee: Supports Library operations to include increasing staff size to meet student needs and subscriptions for scholarly publications.
  • Fitness Facility Fee: Supports expenses at the Lander Student Fitness Center while providing other initiatives designed to promote healthy activities.
