  SEAN LAYNE, founder of the national arts education consulting company Focus 5 Inc, presents professional development workshops for teachers and teaching artists nationwide for The Kennedy Center.   He is also an Arts Coach for the Kennedy Center’s Changing Education Through the Arts program. Layne also worked with the Wolf Trap Institute Early Learning Through the Arts program in 1989.   As a Master Artist, he represented Wolf Trap across the country and internationally, and has designed and piloted new residency 39 and workshop models for the Institute.

Melanie Layne is an Arts Integration Specialist at Baileys Elementary School for the Arts and Sciences in Fairfax County, Virginia and Program Manager for the Changing Education Through the Arts Program at The Kennedy Center.  As a Resource teacher, she brings arts integration strategies (drama, dance, music, visual arts and writing) into the K-5 classrooms.  She has over ten years of experience integrating the arts with general education, special education and English Second Language Learners in elementary and middle school classrooms.

  FAYE STANLEY is a music therapist and music educator who has worked in treatment programs as well as performing theatrical and popular music on a national basis.  Traditional music, stories, and singing games are the core of Fay's work.  Students participate in activities that involve patterns, nature study, ecology, foreign language, math, and language arts as they joyfully experience world arts that integrate into their classroom curriculum.
