Available Positions
The Psychology Department at Lander University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor. This is a nine-month appointment beginning August 2010.
Specific area of specialization is open, but preference will be given to candidates whose expertise complements existing strengths in counseling, developmental, and social psychology.
The successful candidate will be expected to effectively teach four courses each semester, advise a diverse student population, develop and maintain a regular program of discipline-related scholarly activity involving students, and make departmental, university, and community service contributions. Strong evidence of excellent teaching as well as continuing scholarly growth and service are required for tenure and promotion.
Qualifications include: a Ph.D. from an APA-accredited doctoral program; a teaching and research record demonstrating potential as a strong teacher, mentor, and scholar; a demonstrated commitment to quality teaching, scholarship, and collegiality at a comprehensive liberal arts university.
