Study Abroad
Program
Faculty members encourage students to take advantage of Lander's study abroad program--either during the semester or summer. Additionally, faculty members have offered courses with a study abroad component. For example, Dr. Yvonne Combs and Professor Linda Carson led students studying comparative sociological institutions to Holland in spring 2009. These Lander students conducted research to investigate how the prison system in the Netherlands compares with the American prison system.

Washington Semester Program
Beginning in fall 2009, Lander students will be able to apply to study in Washington, DC in a semester-long program. Students are placed within federal government offices or in non-governmental offices (think tanks, media organizations, etc.) to benefit their educational experience in the nation's capital.
