Back to business as normal - minimal damage from storm

Lander University is back to business as usual after experiencing some flickering of lights, but no loss of power during Monday's storms.

The strong winds IMG_Fallen Tree, 1 of Hurricane Irma's aftermath left minimal damage to campus, mostly leaving a trail of scattered leaves and broken branches across the lawns.

The university did suffer damage to an oak tree in front of Laura Lander Hall, when a large part of its trunk broke off during the storm. Portions of the sidewalk and roadway were temporarily closed as cleanup crews removed debris from that area.
