The Dan and Marjorie Ball Scholarship

April 20, 2015

On Thursday, April 2, more than 350 alumni, friends, and colleagues enjoyed the celebration of Dan and Marge Ball’s 15 years of dedication and commitment to the improvement of Lander University. It was a fantastic event. Dan Ball will retire from Lander on June 30.

More than $70,000 has been generated for the Dan and Marjorie Ball Scholarship to benefit teacher education students that will teach in the sciences or are in Lander’s Montessori Education program. Donors have delivered gifts that future Lander students will benefit from in the form of scholarship support. The Balls will vacate the president’s office, but their milestone achievements leave a legacy of encouragement and support for future generations.

Thank you, Dr. and Mrs. Ball from Lander University on Vimeo.

Help The Lander Foundation Reach $100,000

Opportunities to show support for the Balls continue, and the goal of The Lander Foundation is to build the scholarship to at least $100,000 as a way to recognize the good works of our accomplished president and lovely first lady. You can keep the momentum going by helping raise the level of support for this phenomenal scholarship. The Dan and Marge Ball Scholarship will go into the investment portfolio of The Lander Foundation’s endowment. Your gift in honor of the Balls will become an investment for Lander University.
