Aspiring filmmakers apply now!

The deadline to enter Lander University’s Short Film Competition is March 20. Part of the Sixth Annual Lander Film Festival, the event will feature lines written by writers from Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. specifically for the competition.

The lines will be given out to entrants in the Short Film Competition, which includes high school, college and open divisions. Entry fee is $10 for students, $25 open (this includes 1 ticket to the awards ceremony). Fee will be due March 20, at 5 p.m., during the initial meeting in Lander's Carnell Learning Center, Room 116. Films must be shot and edited between Friday, March 20 and Friday, April 4.

The Lander University Film Festival is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, with events at the university and at the Greenwood Community Theatre in Uptown Greenwood. The day’s activities will include workshops and Q-and-A sessions with Craig Titley, writer/producer for the television series Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., a classic film discussion, an awards ceremony and more.
