Virginia Tech scientist scheduled to deliver lecture at Lander

Dr. Deb KellyGREENWOOD---Dr. Deborah Kelly, a scientist and assistant professor at the Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute, will deliver the annual Larry Jackson Lecture at Lander University on Tuesday, March 17.

Kelly earned her doctorate in molecular biophysics from Florida State University. Her research in the field of nanobiology led her to establish the technology allowing scientists to peer into the world of cells and molecules in action, to understand how signaling pathways influence human development and disease.

Her lecture, focusing on her research, will be held in Room SC 150 in Lander’s Science Building, beginning at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The Jackson Lecture Series honors former Lander president Larry Jackson.
