CHORAL/MUSIC EDUCATION

 

APPOINTMENT:  nine-month, beginning August 2010

 

RANK:  tenure-track, Assistant or Associate Professor of Music, with professional experience in choral conducting/music education. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  directing large and chamber choral ensembles; teaching choral conducting, K-8 and choral methods; integrated arts class for education majors; voice classes with possibility of applied voice; supervision of student teachers.  Departmental duties include recruitment, advising, and committee assignments. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  minimum of two years experience in public school teaching required; earned doctorate in music education or choral conducting with requisite music education experience preferred.
