Laura Lander Hall, completed in 1997, houses the Department of Mathematics and Computing. The first floor of the building contains classrooms, the second houses the computer laboratories, and the third floor is comprised of faculty offices and the Division office.

The first floor of Laura Lander Hall consists of four SMART classrooms and two normal classrooms.  These classrooms have recently been re-carpeted and outfitted with new chairs.  Four of these classrooms hold up to 35 students, while the smaller two classrooms hold up to 20.

Note that all classrooms in the building are designed to reflect one of Lander's strengths- small classes. Classes seldom exceed 30 students, and junior and senior level classes in the Division typically have 10 to 15 students.

The second floor of Laura Lander Hall houses computer laboratories.  There is a total of five computer labs on the second floor consisting of two teaching labs, a network lab, an upper-level Math/CIS lab, and an open-access lab.  The two teaching labs have a multimedia capability in a setting that allows 24 students to use computers as they view the teacher's presentation.  These labs are both slated to become part of the SMART classroom project on campus.  The Network Lab is used for experimentation and studies on computer networks.

The multi-platform lab is currently used as a meeting place and lab for upper-level Math/CIS students.  The open-access lab is available for all students and is not reserved for classes.

The top floor of the building contains the Department office and related support areas. Faculty offices are also located on this floor.

This classroom is located on the first floor of Laura Lander Hall. It is equipped as a SMART Classroom. The wooden podium at the front of the Classroom contains a computer and audio/visual equipment for multiple devices. A projector mounted to the ceiling displays what the professor has chosen to show. The desks are brand new as well as the carpet.
