Department of Mathematics & Computing
Programs of Study
As with all programs of study at Lander University, the degree programs within the Department of Mathematics and Computing are composed of: general education core requirements, requirements of the major, and general electives. All degree programs require a minimum of 121 credit hours.
There are three degree programs within the Department: Computer Information Systems, Engineering, and Mathematics. Within Computer Information Systems, students can select from various emphases that will also earn the student a minor. A number of emphases are offered in Mathematics, including a teacher certification program. The Engineering program combines a degree in Engineering at Clemson University with a degree in Mathematics, Computer Information Systems, or Chemistry at Lander University.
Honors programs are offered in both Mathematics and Computer Information Systems. Minors are also available in both areas.
