Housing & Residence Life

With nine residence halls ranging from suites to contemporary apartment-style floorplans, there is a wide variety of housing options available at Lander University. Living on campus puts you right in the center of all the action – just steps away from classes, recreation, dining and entertainment. Plus, all students are welcome to bring cars to campus.

Housing & Residence Life

Freshmen Housing

Our freshmen have their own home here at Lander, and first-year students live in one of four residence halls on campus in which the entire building or floor is designated for freshmen only. Suite and apartment-style housing options for freshmen include our new three-story residence hall, Centennial Hall, Chipley Hall and Williamston

Upperclassmen Housing

With the aim of providing convenient, independent living options, our upperclassmen housing is perfect for students who want to be close to campus but like the privacy and flexibility offered by an apartment-style setup. Options include Bearcat Village, Centennial Hall, Lide, Thomason and University Place

Resident Assistants

RAs are upperclassmen who live in Lander’s residence halls and serve as a source of information and guidance for student residents. RAs plan activities throughout the year to help students meet others living in the same housing areas, and they serve as a liaison for students and the Residence Life Office. Most importantly, when students need advice, RAs are there to listen and lend a shoulder.

Housing Pricing

Students living on campus at Lander are required to sign our housing contract. Find details about the contract terms, important dates, and housing prices and fees here.
