Faculty Laptop-Tablet Hybrid PC Policy
All full-time faculty members will have the option to request either a laptop or laptop-tablet hybrid PC.
- Full-time faculty members who currently do not have a laptop or laptop-tablet hybrid PC may request one by submitting their name to their respective Dean who should then forward the request to the Chair of the Lottery Technology Committee. Requests will be reviewed by the Lottery Technology Committee and distribution of approved computers will occur once or twice a year.
- Full-time faculty members who currently have a laptop or laptop-tablet hybrid PC will be given the option of a laptop or laptop-tablet hybrid PC when their scheduled time comes up for rotation (currently every 3 to 4 years).
Whether a laptop or laptop-tablet hybrid PC is selected, the faculty member will not be allowed to change or exchange their computer until their scheduled time comes up again for rotation.
When a laptop is assigned to a faculty member, the faculty member will be asked to sign a Computer Use Agreement.
This policy has been set and approved by the Lottery Technology Committee chaired by Dr. Ralph Layland.
