Beverly Psomas
A native of Aiken, South Carolina, Beverly received her BA degree in Music with an emphasis in piano and a Masters of Education from the University of South Carolina. She has completed 30 hours above her Masters focusing on integrating the arts into the curriculum. She has enjoyed working as a choral director, music educator, and composer in this community for over 20 years. Since 2004, Beverly has served as the Executive Director of Greenwood-Lander Performing Arts. Along with the help of the GLPA Board and countless volunteers, she has developed an extensive outreach program giving thousand of children the opportunity to attend world class performances during the school day at Lander University. She and her husband, George, reside in Greenwood and are the parents of three children.
Jackie Counts
A native of upstate New York, Jackie received her BA in Music Education and Voice Performance from Columbia College in Columbia, South Carolina. Jackie retired after 30 years of teaching Music Education in South Carolina public schools. She currently serves as Assistant Director of Greenwood-Lander Performing Arts where she has taken over the majority of planning and preparation for the outreach program. During her work with GLPA, Jackie is proud of the technology skills she has gained and has enjoyed learning about the vast world of the performing arts. She and her husband, RJ, reside in Abbeville, SC and are the parents of three children.
