South Carolina Need-Based Grant
The S.C. Need-Based Grant was introduced the 1996-97 academic year. These funds are limited, and each S.C. college/university is limited to a specific level of funding. To be considered for a Need-Based Grant, students must complete the FAFSA. The maximum award is $2500. However, Lander University may establish a lower maximum award in order to assist as many qualified students as possible. All Need-Based Grant funding is dependent upon action by the General Assembly of South Carolina, and amounts are contingent upon the availability of funds to be appropriated for the program each year.
