Mrs. Palsy Higginbotham and Judge Jim Moore will each tell their story. How Jamie Wilson’s decisions on September 26, 1988 impacted their lives. How their mindset on safety in schools changed and how their lives would forever be different following this horrible day and the court case that would following.

Following the panel sharing their stories as it relates to our community and understanding of violence, LUPD officers Dena Gossett and James Burke (certified trainers for Active Shooting situations) will teach the audience 'what to do'... really... what to do in an active shooter situation. We're going beyond the 3 minute video we openly show to new students and diving into how students can protect themselves and others.
