FAFSA Priority Deadline

Wednesday, November 01, 2017

Need Financial Aid for the 2018-19 academic year?

Lander University's priority filing deadline for FAFSA is November 1 each year.  After filing the FAFSA, be sure to follow up immediately to complete any outstanding requirements so your application will be complete and ready for awarding.

Remember that November 1 is not an absolute deadline, it is a priority deadline. This simply means you will be considered for several of the financial aid programs that have limited funds and be included in the first round of aid packages.

Some funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until funds have been expended. Therefore, the earlier you are able to submit your FAFSA to the federal processor, the better your chances are to receive these limited funds.

FAFSAs submitted after the priority deadline will be processed upon receipt but availability of funds will be limited. Click here for some Helpful Tips.

What is FAFSA?
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a form that can be prepared annually by current and prospective college students (undergraduate and graduate) in the United States to determine their eligibility for student financial aid.
