Equestrian Team
The Lander University Equestrian Club gives students an opportunity to learn about equestrian
sports. Membership is open to all Lander students who are interested in horses and
horsemanship, whether or not they have prior riding experience.
Members may ride with the Lander Team in Hunt Seat Equitation Over Fences and on the
Flat as well as Western Horsemanship and Reining and may compete in Intercollegiate Horse
Show Association shows throughout the year.
The team trains at the new Lander Equestrian Center located at The Burton Center, 2605 Hwy 72-221 E, Greenwood, SC . Kitty Lewis, Director of the Student Wellness Center serves as the faculty sponsor.
