Assistant Professor of English
The English and Foreign Language Department at Lander University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of English. The successful candidate will be expected to effectively teach; advise a diverse student population, and participate in departmental service. At least one half of the teaching load will be in freshman English. Specific area of specialization is composition and rhetoric. This is a nine-month appointment beginning August 2010.
Required qualifications include: Ph.D. in Composition and Rhetoric. Evidence of teaching effectiveness, scholarly potential and participation in appropriate professional activities.
Preferred: Interest and training in technical writing desirable.
