    Lander University’s Presidential Search Committee has hired the executive search firm of Coleman Lew + Associates, of Charlotte, N.C., to assist in the selection of the university’s next chief executive officer, succeeding President Daniel Ball.

  • Lander Baseball Players Honored with Scholarship in Their Names

    This year, Jay Robinson and Tyler Wilson helped Lander University’s baseball team to the Peach Belt Conference regular season and tournament titles and the NCAA Division II Southeast regional championship. That qualified the team to play in the Division II College World Series in North Carolina in May for the first time in the program’s history. Their amazing stories have prompted an anonymous donor to create a scholarship at Lander in their names.

    Lander University will host the 2014 M.A.T. Graduate Art Exhibition in the Jackson Library from June 26 - July 3, with a closing reception on July 2 from 5-7 p.m.
  • Lander alumni group plans a festive Hawaiian luau

    Lander University’s Cambridge Hall will take on the look and feel of a tropical paradise when the Lander Alumni Association and the Greenwood Tower Club host a Hawaiian luau on Saturday, Aug. 9, from 7 to 10 p.m. The event will raise money for the club’s project fund and Lander’s Alumni Scholarship Fund.

    The Small Telescopes and Astronomical Research (STAR) Conference that Lander University recently hosted “went really well,” according to Lander Associate Professor of Chemistry Dr. Lisa Brodhacker, who helped to organize the event.
  • Lander offers course to prepare high school students for SAT

    Openings are still available for a class sponsored by Lander University’s Continuing Education office to prepare high school students to take the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). The class will begin on Monday, July 14.
  • Lander Announces Tuition Increase for 2014-2015

    Lander University’s Board of Trustees has approved a 3.15 percent increase in tuition for the 2014-2015 academic year beginning in September. The new tuition for in-state students will be $10,418, an increase of $318. For out-of-state students, tuition goes up $602 to $19,738.

    This spring, Lander University recognized its co-curricular standouts for the 2013-14 academic year, presenting the top students and student organizations with special awards for service at the university’s annual Student Life Awards ceremony, held at the conclusion of the semester.
