    Montessori educators representing eight school districts throughout South Carolina recently visited the Lander University campus to begin work that will align the state’s curriculum standards with Montessori curriculum. A representative from the South Carolina Department of Education was also in attendance.
  • Seven students take top honors at Lander University’s annual art exhibit

    A crowd of nearly 200 showed up on Feb. 2 to see four seniors, two juniors and one freshman win top honors at Lander University’s annual Student Juried Exhibit. The public exhibit, run by the College of Arts & Humanities since the mid-1970s, featured 75 art pieces in the Monsanto Art Gallery from all levels of art students.

    On Wednesday, Feb. 8, the Lander University chapter of Habitat for Humanity will host a groundbreaking celebration for construction of the group’s second Habitat home. The celebration will begin at 1 p.m. at the Habitat build site on the Lander campus, adjacent to Lide residence hall on Willson Street.

    Students and professors alike are bracing to see who takes the big prize next week at Lander University’s annual “Student Juried Exhibit.” The public exhibit, run by the College of Arts & Humanities since the mid-1970s, takes place from 5-7 p.m. Feb. 2, in the Monsanto Art Gallery of the Josephine B. Abney Cultural Center.
