Welcome to our tutoring services. All services within our tutoring labs are a free service to Lander students. Listed below are the tutoring labs at Lander University, directions on making appointments and contact information.
Directions to make a tutoring appointment
To make an appointment with a tutor click on "sign
up for a tutor" this link will take you to our online tutoring schedule. If you are a
first time user you will need to register. This link is located at the bottom left hand
corner. Once you are registered, pick the tutoring lab desired and make an appointment.

Peer Tutoring Lab
The Peer Tutoring Lab is designed to provide support
and assistance to students enrolled in general education courses as well as those registered in
courses needed to satisfy major requirements. The laboratory, therefore, serves as an
effective resource by providing the opportunity for students to develop learning habits which will
translate into a successful college career.

Mathematics Lab
Drop into a place that really counts!
The Mathematics Lab assists students in all general
education mathematics and computer science courses as well as pre-calculus and math-related topics.
The lab also helps in preparation for the mathematics portion of the PRAXIS Pre Professional Skills
Test (PPST) required of education majors. Students may come on a drop-in basis or make an
appointment online.

PRAXIS Lab
The PRAXIS Tutoring Lab is open daily (see posted
hours on the door). This lab helps students with pre-testing, remediation, and
re-testing.

The Writing Center
The Writing Center supports the pedagogical goals,
techniques and policies of the Department in its interactions with writers. The Center mainly
assists writers who are students in any Lander University course (undergraduate through graduate)
as they develop their writing skills. Writers may visit the Center at any point in their writing
