Visual Art Scholarships
Art students are eligible to apply for academic scholarships, work-study jobs, and loans through the Office of Financial Aid. Some of these awards are based on financial need; others are based on merit. All prospective students are strongly urged to contact the Office of Financial Aid at (864) 388-8340 for complete information on these opportunities.
Art scholarships are awarded to deserving students on the basis of a portfolio. Students are encouraged to call and make an appointment to present their portfolios.
The Carol Brown Scholarship is awarded to an art student every three years.
The Marie Chisholm Scholarship is awarded annually to an art major.
The Barbara Kinard Cornett Art Scholarship is given yearly to the art major selected for "best in show" in the Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition held each spring in the Monsanto Art Gallery.
Fine Arts Scholarships are awarded to students in art, music, theatre, and dance.
