M.A.T. candidates visit public schools

 

Why Earn Your Master of Arts in Teaching degree at Lander?

 

  • This degree is designed for initial certification students with an undergraduate degree in studio art.

 

  • The Master of Arts in Teaching degree is an intense 14-month program, completed in one academic year and two summers.

 

  • Courses are custom designed to meet the needs of students returning for teacher certification, K-12.

 

  • Public school classroom experience is an important component of the program before student teaching.  M.A.T. candidates engage in professional activities to establish contacts in their field.

 

  • Classes are small, allowing individualized instruction.  The M.A.T. in art education is a cohort program.
