Undergraduate Admissions

Whether you are a high school student, already have your high school diploma, or are interested in transferring to Lander from another institution, the Office of Admissions is committed to helping you through the application process - from start to finish.

As a first-time college student, the application process might seem overwhelming. Don’t worry – we make applying to Lander simple. From requirements and deadlines to test scores and scholarship information, we’ve compiled everything you need to know to get the ball rolling.

Transfer Students

A transfer student is an applicant who has attended another post-secondary institution in any capacity after completion of high school, regardless of earning credit. The majority of our transfer students come from community or technical colleges.

Bridge Program

Developed in cooperation with the South Carolina State Technical College System, the Lander University Bridge Program provides students with an alternate route for completing a degree at Lander. The program is a collaborative effort between Lander and all 16 technical colleges in South Carolina, and its purpose is to create a seamless transition between the two campuses.

Returning Students

Any former student whose attendance at Lander was interrupted for at least one semester or longer (not including summer sessions) can apply to be readmitted to the university. While readmission to the university and program of study is not automatic, quite often the student is admitted to Lander based on the status in which they left.

International Students

Students from around the world come to Lander to enjoy the American college experience. From the point of application to admission, and through your time as a student and your graduation, our Office of International Programs will be with you every step of the way to help you make a smooth transition into American culture.

If you are a veteran or currently serving in the military, we’ve made it easy for you to start or continue your education at Lander. The Office of Military & Veteran Services and our VA Certifying Official can provide assistance with the application process.

Non-degree Seeking Students

If you're a current high school student who wants to get an early taste of college course work, a senior (60+) interested in learning something new, or simply looking for an opportunity to audit a course, the non-degree-seeking application is the right option for you.
