2:00 p.m.
Lander will join America in the simultaneous recitation of the Preamble to the Constitution lead by General Colin Powell.
Lander’s Aramark will provide apple cobbler and vanilla ice cream. Pocket Guides to the Constitution will be distributed after the recitation of the Preamble. (Student Center Cafeteria)
Tuesday, September 19
6 p.m. – 7 p.m.
The Constitution and Executive Authority: The legacy of the Bush Administration
Presented by Scarlet Moore, Greenville DSS Attorney and Lander adjunct Political Science faculty member. (Learning Center 300)
Wednesday, September 20
3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Register to Vote: The American Association of State Colleges and Universities’ Electoral Voice Project, in conjunction with the Lander University American Democracy Project will host a Voter Registration Drive from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Voting Machine Demonstration: In room 210 of Lander’p p p p s Grier Student
Center, there will be a demonstration on using a voting machine. Students may also apply to
serve as poll workers and earn up to $250 and a T-shirt. Refreshments will be served.
