Checklist for Master of Education in

Montessori Education

 

Lander University offers a graduate degree program leading to the Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Montessori Education with concentrations in pre-school (ages 3-6) or early elementary (grades 1-3).  While this program is administered by the College of Education, it involves faculty from across the university.

 

Keep in mind, our graduate program is directed at very unique audiences.  Please read the information below carefully.  If you have questions, email us (admissions@lander.edu).

 

Master of Education (Montessori)

The student seeking admission to the M.Ed. in elementary education should have:

  • $35 application fee
  • Transcripts of all college coursework
  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution
  • Completed a state approved teacher education program
  • Minimum 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale or a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the last two years (or 4 semesters) of baccalaureate program coursework
  • Three (3) reference forms (See Graduate Recommendation Form - PDF)
  • Graduate Record Exam (GRE) score of 800 or Millers Analogies Test (MAT) score of 380

Applicants will also be required to complete an interview with the Director of Graduate Studies.

 

Note: Students may choose to add a Montessori Emphasis as their related study area.
