It is a very exciting time when your student begins their college search. It is also a transition period when the student will need to familiarize themselves with many different aspects of the university.

We understand how challenging the transition to college can be. This page is for you, the Parents! We hope this page will serve as a resource as your student completes the application process. Parents FAQ

How can I get my student’s grades?

Unfortunately, we are not allowed to disclose the student’s information to their guardians. Students may view and print final grades through their Bearcat Web account. We encourage you to have a conversation with your student about this information.

Lander University will disclose information from a student’s education records with parents only if a written consent form is submitted to the Office of the Registrar.
Where can my student purchase textbooks?

The Bearcat Shop. It is located beside our post office on the first floor of the multicultural center.
Where can I deposit money on my students Bearcat Bucks account?

Guardians can add money to the students Bearcat Bucks account by contacting Aramark's Ab Davis at 864-388-8221.
Where can my student find information about on-campus jobs?

The Office of Financial Aid is responsible for all on-campus jobs.
If my student becomes ill while on campus, what should he/she do?

They should visit our Health Services Office to see a nurse. 864-388-8885
Do family members need tickets for graduation?

Yes, family members will need a ticket to enter the ceremony. The number of tickets a student is given various each year. Guest seating is on a first-come-first-seated basis.
How can my student check his/her financial aid status?

Students can view their financial aid awards on Bearcat Web. After clicking on financial aid, then awards for the given year.
Where can my student get a “full-time” letter for insurance or loan purposes?

This information can be obtained through the Office of the Registrar. (864)388-8398
My student would like tutoring?

Our Academic Success Center is readily available to assist students with any academic needs. Students can schedule tutoring sessions at 864-388-8460.
How can my student apply for financial aid?

The Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA) must be completed to receive financial aid. The FAFSA must be completed every year. For more information, visit Financial Aid.
When is the deadline for my student to pay fees for the semester?

Please visit the Business Office for a list of Tuition & Fee dates.
