Undergraduate Degree - Seeking Students
- First-Time Freshman
Any student planning to enroll after receiving a high school diploma or GED who has not previously enrolled at another college or university.
- Transfer Students
Students who have attended another college or university after completion of high school or obtaining a GED whether or not the student has earned credit at that institution.
- Returning Students
Any former Lander student whose attendance at Lander has been interrupted for at least one semester whether they have attended another institution or not.
- Second-Degree Students
Students who have earned an undergraduate degree and are interested in obtaining another in a different course of study.
Undergraduate Non-Degree - Seeking Students
- Transient Students
Current college students who wish to enroll in a Lander course and transfer the credit back to their home institution.
- Senior Citizens
Students over the age of 60, who wish to enroll in coursework, tuition-free, at Lander on a space available basis.
- International Exchange Students
International students who plan to enroll at Lander for one semester to a year.
- Concurrent Students
Current high school students who wish to enroll in a course(s) at Lander University while concurrently enrolled in high school.
- Special Students
Students who wish to enroll in courses, but do not intend on earning a degree at Lander.

- Graduate Students
Any degree or non-degree seeking student planning to enroll in graduate courses.
