At Lander University, we believe it is never too early to get a jump start on the college search. That’s why our Office of Admissions hosts, Junior Day, a special event just for high school juniors and their parents to learn about life here before starting the application process.

During Junior Day, you will

  • Explore Lander’s beautiful 125- acre campus and facilities on an extensive student guided walking tour tailored to the student’s particular academic interest.
  • Interact with representatives from all of our academic colleges during a mini-information session, as well as representatives from student activities, financial aid, admissions, and other support areas.
  • Learn about our admissions process and the proper steps to take to apply to Lander.
  • Relax after your tour with lunch on us with Admissions Counselors and Student Ambassadors on hand to answer any parting questions.

Making a college decision is difficult. That’s why we recommend Junior Day to all of our high school juniors. Once you get to Lander, you will discover why Lander is the right place for you. We look forward to seeing you here.

Tips for Tours

Schedule your tour in advance. We would like to know you’re coming!

Wear comfortable walking shoes. Our walking tours are approximately an hour long.

Arrive on campus promptly. We like to keep our tours on schedule.

Go to Visitor Information for driving directions, a campus map, and local accommodations.

Be sure to ask questions during the tour. Our guides are current students and have great knowledge of the campus and its resources.

Check the weather forecast the day of the tour. Please plan for inclement weather.
