Library & Collections

The Larry A. Jackson Library is the central hub for academic research at Lander. From journals, books and online databases, to art exhibits and regional collections, a world of knowledge is at our students’ fingertips.

Jackson Library

The Larry A. Jackson Library houses an extensive collection of books and other media, with access to numerous scholarly journals and ebooks in most subjects. With three floors, students can find plenty of space for group study or private carrels and study rooms for individual research. A Starbucks coffee shop is located on the main level, where students can relax with friends or grab a quick snack between classes.

Lander Archives

The Lander Archives serve as the institution’s memory, where important documents are organized and preserved, both in print and digitally, in accordance to the statutes of the State of South Carolina. In addition, the archives contain records and materials that reflect Lander’s history.

Monsanto Gallery

Located in the Josephine B. Abney Cultural Center, the Monsanto Gallery attracts more than 500 visitors monthly and showcases the work of Lander students and faculty, as well as Southeastern artists. Exhibits change frequently throughout the year.

Located on the lowest level of Jackson Library, Lander's state-of-the-art computer commons and Technology Resource Assistance Center for Students (TRACS) offer a convenient location for computer access and technology support. TRACS technicians are dedicated to providing students with one-on-one support with laptop and tablet setup, network connection and technology training.
