study abroad

Global Education

As a Lander student, the four corners of the world can serve as your classroom. Through a far-reaching study abroad program, students immerse themselves in new cultures while fulfilling dreams and strengthening resumés at the same time.

International Programs

Through the Office of International Programs, students from around the globe can enjoy the American college experience with the direct support of university faculty and staff, and community members. Lander has special relationships with sister institutions worldwide, including 27 partnerships with educational institutions in Asia.

Study Abroad

By traveling, living and studying in countries across Europe, Asia, South America and beyond, students are able to personally experience new cultures and see the world from a different point of view – something no textbook can fully provide. Study Abroad opportunities are open to students in all majors, and for those who can’t spend an entire semester or year abroad, shorter study tours and faculty-led tours are available and focus on a variety of topics.

Lander in Washington

Lander in Washington is affiliated with the prestigious Washington Intern Student Housing (WISH) program, which places academically qualified students in a variety of meaningful, semester-long internships throughout the nation’s capital. The WISH program is available to students from all academic majors, and students who are selected to participate receive WISH internships and premier WISH housing in fully furnished, intern-only areas on Capitol Hill. And the best part? A semester in Washington, D.C., costs about the same as a semester at Lander.

The Winchester Experience

When students in Lander’s Study Abroad program spend a semester overseas, many of them study at the University of Winchester in England, a university of approximately 5,500 students, 250 of whom are international students from 30 countries.
