    Applications are being accepted for a Chinese language course offered as part of Lander University's Continuing Education program. Conversational Chinese for Beginners will be taught by Wei Zhang, a visiting scholar from Shanghai Normal University in China, who is an intern in Lander's Office of Student Affairs.

    Lander University's special six-part lecture series, "The Politics of Democracy: A Political Symposium," continues next month with sessions exploring topics relevant to our current national political scene. The sessions are led by members of Lander's faculty as well as speakers from a variety of educational-, political- and business-related fields.

  • Lander's spring continuing education courses cover a wide range of interests

    Lander University is accepting applications for its spring continuing education courses, the first of which will begin late in January. Coordinator Shelley Grund said there are more than two dozen courses being offered, plus professional and small business development courses, Scholastic Aptitude Test preparation for high school students, a speaker series and two excursions, one to Europe. Some courses have limits on enrollment.

    Lander University is accepting applications for its summer continuing education courses, the first of which will begin late in May and continue through August. Coordinator Shelley Grund said there are more than two dozen courses on the schedule, plus five professional development offerings and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) preparation classes for high school students. Because of their popularity, some courses have limits on enrollment.

  • Lander University students honored for academic excellence, extracurricular service

    Lander University recently honored its cocurricular standouts for the 2010-11 academic year, presenting student life awards to the university's top students and student organizations. The awards were announced during Lander's annual Academic and Student Life Awards Ceremony.
