Greenwood Woman's Club to hold scholarship luncheon

Tickets are on sale for the annual Greenwood Woman's Club Scholarship Luncheon on Wednesday, Feb. 29, at 11:30 a.m., with proceeds directed to the club's scholarship fund at Lander University. The event will be held in the Johnston Commons in Lander's Student Center and tickets are $25 each.

The luncheon will feature a presentation by Mary Ann Sudnick of Mariani's Boutique in Greenville. Sudnick is the owner of the boutique and an image consultant who has a degree in fashion buying and merchandising from Fashion Institute of Technology. She will offer tips on effortless dressing, and her presentation is titled "Ageless style; looking great at any age."

President Rose Whaley said the Greenwood Woman's Club was organized in the mid-1950s and has 235 members. Its scholarship, which was established in 2005, is awarded to Lander students who demonstrate financial need and academic promise and meet certain academic criteria.
