The faculty members in our department truly have a passion for teaching. Our faculty enjoy getting to know our students and they are committed to teaching and fostering student's academic development. Should you decide to join us, you will be assigned a faculty advisor who will monitor your progress and assist you in making good decisions concerning your class schedule each semester.
The Department of Mathematics and Computing is housed in historic Laura Lander Hall, which is named in tribute to the wife of Lander University's founder and first president, Samuel Lander. Laura Lander Hall opened in 1904 as Greenwood Hall. In 1993, the interior of Greenwood Hall was totally renovated; and boasts state of the art classrooms, computer laboratories and office space. The exterior of the building was untouched in the renovation and proudly features Lander University's trademark bell tower.
Dedicated faculty, small classes and strong academic programs are just a few of the assets that the Department of Mathematics and Computing has to offer.
