Strategies for developing and sharpening business leadership skills will be the focus of a professional development program presented by Lander University's Continuing Education Office beginning in March.
Seven seminars will be conducted by Toni Armstrong Sample, who has more than 25 years of experience in human resources management, consulting, labor law and training and development.
The program will open on Friday, March 11, with a session on interpersonal communication. Other topics include conflict as a problem-solver, listening skills, time management, making life less stressful and dealing with negative personalities.
Each class will be held at Lander on the Square, formerly Inn on the Square in Uptown Greenwood, from 9-11 a.m.
The cost for all seven modules is $320 and $175 for four modules.
Two free introductory sessions to the program will be held at the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce, 110 Phoenix St., on Tuesday, Feb. 15, to provide information about the content of each seminar and facilitate registration. The first presentation will be at 8 a.m. and the second at 11 a.m.
