    Lander University business administration major Becky Gibson, left, North Augusta, has been selected to receive the Sandra J. Lorenzatti Scholarship. Established in 2011 in memory of Sandra J. Lorenzatti, by her brother Dave Lorenzatti and other members of her family, the scholarship is awarded to a female student majoring in business administration.

  • Lander University business students receive Dunlap and Eaton scholarships

    Lander University business administration major Kimberly Conner, of Greenwood, has been selected to receive the R. Thornwell Dunlap Jr. Scholarship. The scholarship was established in 1997 in honor of Dunlap, who served as president of The Lander Foundation from 1993-1996.

  • Lander University business students receive scholarships

    Lander University student Tim Hocke, of Stahnsdorf, Germany, a business administration major with economic/finance emphasis, has been selected to receive the Chan Sup Chang Business Scholarship. Established in 2006 as a gift to Dr. Chan Sup Chang by his two sons, Dr. Mark Chang and Dr. David Chang, the scholarship is awarded to Lander business majors who have demonstrated leadership qualities.

  • Daughertys retire after spending eight decades in health care

    Bernice and Len Daugherty of Greenwood have each spent more than 40 years in health care, she in nursing and he in health care management, and they shared their professional experiences with students as members of the Lander University faculty. The couple decided to retire this summer and plan to devote their time to more leisurely pursuits.

  • Lander University students receive Greenwood Rehabilitation scholarship

    Lander University sociology majors Shakeyta Waller, left, of Greenwood, and Stacee Whittle, right, of Abbeville, have been selected to receive the Greenwood Vocational Rehabilitation Advisory Board Scholarship. Established in 2000 by The Greenwood Vocational Rehabilitation Advisory Board, the scholarship is awarded to full-time juniors or seniors preparing for a career in the human services area.

  • Lander graduate receives assignment to Air War College

    Lander University graduate Lt. Col. Warren Bacote was honored at a change of command ceremony on June 12 at Fort Devens, Mass., where he served as garrison commander for nearly five years. He has been reassigned to the Air War College (AWC) at Maxwell A.F.B., in Montgomery, Ala., where he will be one of 26 U.S. Army representatives in the college's class of 2013.
