Lander showcases student soloists during honors recital

Student Honors RecitalLast November music students competed for a spot in Lander University's annual Student Honors Recital. Of those students, 10 were selected to perform in the upcoming recital Tuesday, Jan. 25, at 8 p.m. in Lander's Josephine B. Abney Cultural Center Auditorium. The event will be a talented display of musical performance, exemplifying styles and instruments taught across Lander's music curriculum. Student performers pictured, from left, are: Jessica Hart of Starr, vocalist; Preston Anderson of Greenwood, euphonium; Tanisha Tolliver of Greer, vocalist; Kelly Hammond of Greenwood, piano; Jessica Tenney of Williamston, violin; Tyler Lambert of Chapin, flute; and Kelly Broome of Starr, vocalist. Performers not pictured are: Lee McAbee of Anderson, saxophone; Kelley Robertson of Hodges, piano; and Erin Shafer of Hemingway, vocalist.
