Lander University Students Excel at New Event

Brandy and KellyLander University students Brandy Cessarich, left, a graphic design major from Greenville, and Kelly Plemmons, a business administration major from Spartanburg, recently won two of the top three awards at the 1st Annual Collegiate Invitational Art Exhibition held at the Spartanburg County Library. Cessarich won 2nd place for her steel sculpture, "Abstract Abode," while Plemmons won 3rd place for her photograph, "Ella Mae's Teardrop." The winning entries by Cessarich and Plemmons, along with 58 other works by students from Lander, Anderson University, Bob Jones University, Converse College, Greenville Technical College, and USC-Upstate, will be on display through March 8.
