Lander University is preparing for its traditional Parents Day celebration which gives students and members of their families an opportunity to spend time together exploring the campus and enjoying a variety of activities.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will have a Roaring '20s theme and feature a look back at the university's history with a display of old yearbooks, newspapers and photographs.
There will be a classic car show, inflatable games and live music on Lander's amphitheatre stage, including performances by the Blair Crimmins Band and inspirational selections by Lander's Minorities on the Move Gospel Choir.
