Lander University’s Cambridge Hall will take on the look and feel of a tropical paradise when the Lander Alumni Association and the Greenwood Tower Club host a Hawaiian luau on Saturday, Aug. 9, from 7 to 10 p.m. The event will raise money for the club’s project fund and Lander’s Alumni Scholarship Fund.
Myra Greene, Lander’s director of Alumni Affairs and Annual Giving, said, “We have a fantastic evening of fun planned, featuring an array of Polynesian food plus entertainment by Hula Carolina, from Charlotte, North Carolina.” In addition to Hawaiian music, the group will stage a hula show and a spectacular fire show.
Greene added, “The luau is open to all Lander alumni as well as our friends in the community.”
Tickets for the luau are limited and can be purchased for $25 each, $20 for Tower Club members. Tickets may be ordered by calling the Alumni Office at 864-388-8351 and by emailing Greene at firstname.lastname@example.org or Debbie Dill at email@example.com.
