Did you know that the mentor of Martin Luther King, Jr. was a man born and raised just a few miles from Lander’s campus? Dr. Benjamin Mays has been called the “Father of the Civil Rights Movement” and served the country as advisor to Presidents Kennedy, Johnson and Carter.
On Thursday, Feb 7th, the Bearcat Shuttle will transport students to the Benjamin Mays Historic site. Students should meet at 2:00pm in the Bearcat Lounge (GC-214) and must show a valid Lander ID to board the shuttle.
